| Á¦¸ñ | MOU with EST Security for Joint Development of Arm-based Cloud Security |
![]() [EST Security] Signed MOU with XSLAB for Joint Development of ¡®Arm-based Cloud Security Technology for the AX Era¡¯EST Security, a security specialist, announced that it has signed a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with XSLAB, a leader in Arm server technology, to cooperate on R&D and jointly promote businesses for next-generation cloud security technologies required in the AX (AI Transformation) era. On January 5th, the two companies held a signing ceremony at EST Security's headquarters in Seocho-gu, Seoul. They agreed to build innovative integrated security solutions by combining their technical strengths to respond to the trends of AI and cloud transition and increasingly sophisticated security threats. The core of this collaboration lies in the development of private cloud-specialized security technologies that comprehensively protect various AX workloads, including Arm-based physical servers, virtual machines, containers, and AI/LLM inference nodes. Through this, they plan to proactively respond to threat factors in complex cloud environments by strengthening key functions such as ¡ãworkload vulnerability detection ¡ãreal-time threat monitoring ¡ãadvancement of permission management and trust-based security policies, and ¡ãautomation of regulatory compliance. XSLAB is a full-stack enterprise computing specialist that possesses proprietary technology across all areas, ranging from 20 years of embedded technology expertise to Arm-based server motherboard design and manufacturing, BIOS/UEFI/driver/BMC development, and cluster management software. Furthermore, based on its experience in building private cloud infrastructure required by various industries, educational institutions, and public agencies, XSLAB plans to provide optimized solutions and infrastructure/operation data linked to the security platform in this collaboration. EST Security will strengthen its malicious threat detection and response capabilities across the cloud environment by optimizing its endpoint and cloud workload security technologies and threat intelligence capabilities for the Arm architecture, based on its core security module, the ¡®ALYac¡¯ antivirus engine. In particular, by applying detection technologies optimized for the environment of domestic companies and institutions, it is expected to realize security capabilities with a competitive edge differentiated from global solutions. In addition, the two companies plan to further advance integrated management and protection functions across cloud security, including future Private Cloud Infrastructure Entitlement Management (CIEM), porting of Arm-based security products, and promoting joint projects in the industrial, public, and educational sectors. An official from XSLAB stated, ¡°With this collaboration, we will introduce a new cloud security model where Arm-based infrastructure and security technologies are organically combined,¡± adding, ¡°We will do our best to build a stable AX environment that customers and partners can trust.¡± Kim Byung-hoon, CTO of EST Security, said, ¡°Using this collaboration as a stepping stone, we will expand the scope of Open Innovation to the cloud and AI infrastructure domains and contribute to building a next-generation cloud security ecosystem through the integration of mutually complementary technologies of both companies.¡± He continued, ¡°We will continuously provide broader and more robust security services to domestic and international customers.¡± Meanwhile, EST Security has led the domestic endpoint security market with its malware detection and integrated security management capabilities based on the national antivirus ¡®ALYac¡¯. Going forward, the company plans to expand its technological capabilities to the cloud workload security domain to strengthen its competitiveness in the next-generation security solution market. |
